Bio:
Daniel Lawson, an artist with a long-standing career in music, brings a dynamic rhythm to his visual art, merging his passion for both sound and imagery. Having spent much of his life as a musician, songwriter, and producer for studios, concerts, and film soundtracks, Daniel began painting a decade ago, inspired by his personal meditation practice and dream imagery. His work captures snapshots of his subconscious, creating a unique blend of visual rhythm and dream-inspired surrealism. Drawing on his background in music, Daniel’s paintings incorporate rhythmic dynamics in color and form, resulting in a distinctive style he describes as “Looney Tunes Noir.”

With influences from early animation and cartoonists, Daniel’s art has a playful, yet dark undertone that brings dreamlike landscapes and whimsical creatures to life. His work is characterized by clean lines, bold colors, and a mix of humor and surrealism. Through his pieces, Daniel invites viewers into a world where “visual beats and riffs” offer a danceable rhythm and narrative playfulness, evoking a sense of both wonder and intrigue.
