Solo Exhibition: Bushwick Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Ray Rogers, a painter whose seven-decade career spans Abstract Expressionism, inventionism, and a lifelong dialogue with music and travel. Closing the year’s cycle of exhibitions, The Company We Keep reflects on the presence of animals as confidants, muses, and mirrors of our lives. The works on view traverse humor and tenderness, intimacy and allegory — revealing how creatures both familiar and imagined shape our stories and our sense of self.
This group exhibition invites painting, sculpture, photography, and installation that explore the ties between human and animal worlds, not as static portraits but as dynamic exchanges of affection, instinct, and vitality.
