Bio:
Christopher M. Liatsis is a multidisciplinary artist and the founder of Painted Bull Studios. From a young age, Liatsis developed a deep passion for illustration, fascinated by the power of pencil and ink to craft stories and convey complex themes. After earning his degree in art and design, he pursued a successful career as a commercial artist, expanding his skillset into fields like advertising, film, and broadcast production. Liatsis is also a graphic artist and engineer for Bridgeside Productions, as well as the comic artist for Lucy & Ron.
At the core of Liatsis’s work is a philosophical exploration of the human experience, blending imaginative surrealism with profound themes of identity and perception. His work deconstructs and reassembles the human form, creating vivid narratives that challenge viewers to reconsider how they see themselves and the world around them. Liatsis’s artistic influences range from surrealists like Salvador Dalí and Frida Kahlo to classical artists such as Van Gogh and Rembrandt, yet he has cultivated a unique style that marries precision with bold experimentation.
Liatsis’s work is rooted in both personal and universal experiences. Through his art, he invites viewers to embark on their own journey of introspection, delving into themes of healing, wisdom, and creativity. Each piece reflects his ongoing meditation on the interplay between reality and the subconscious, using vibrant colors, abstract forms, and intricate lines to create art that resonates on an emotional and intellectual level.

Description:
Dreamweavers in Warm Hues is an exploration of the creative process itself, capturing the ethereal and intangible nature of ideas as they take shape. The piece is dominated by swirling warm tones—deep oranges, reds, and golds—that seem to radiate from the canvas, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The abstract, flowing figures within the composition represent muses or creative spirits weaving thoughts and ideas from the abstract into reality. Liatsis uses a mix of Posca paint markers and refined brushwork, beginning with automatic drawing to let the subconscious guide the forms into something tangible.
This work reflects Liatsis’s contemplation of the origins of creativity and the interconnectedness of thought. The figures within the piece evoke the continuous, elusive nature of inspiration, blurring the boundaries between dream states and conscious reality.

Liatsis employed automatic drawing to bring the subconscious to the surface, allowing spontaneous shapes and forms to emerge on the canvas. The result is a work that feels both grounded in mythology and deeply personal, inviting the viewer to reflect on the cycles of healing, wisdom, and renewal that we all encounter in life. Through bold colors and layered textures, Echoes of Asclepius captures the intricate dance between knowledge, transformation, and the mysteries of life.
