Artists are encouraged to attend both the opening reception and the private viewing. Following these events, staff-led tours will continue for the remainder of the exhibition, available by appointment only.
Theme: Reinterpret the animal kingdom through a modern lens, abstract representations, or social commentary.
Individual Exhibition Space:
- Fee: $395 (non-refundable)
- Space Dimensions: 3.5 feet wide by 7 feet high
Included in the Exhibition Package:
- Your artwork will be prominently promoted across our website and social media channels.
- Invitations to the exhibition will be distributed to our extensive mailing list, including collectors, art enthusiasts, and industry professionals.
- Professional installation of your artwork will be handled by our experienced team, ensuring that it is displayed optimally.
- Photographs of the opening reception will be featured on our website and social media, highlighting key moments for publicity.
Sales and Commission:
For the Wild Kingdoms: Animals Reimagined exhibition, Bushwick Gallery and the Artist agree to an 80/20 commission split, with the Artist receiving 80% of the sale proceeds and the Gallery retaining 20%. This commission supports the Gallery’s role in covering exhibition expenses, maintaining the space, and conducting promotional activities.
This 80/20 commission structure applies to all artwork sold during the exhibition period and extends for a 30-day post-exhibition period, ensuring the Gallery benefits from any sales influenced by its efforts. After this 30-day period, any further sales will be commission-free to the Gallery unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Important Dates:
- Agreement: This agreement must be signed and fee paid by November 2, 2024.
- Artwork Drop-Off: All artwork must be delivered to Bushwick Gallery by November 5, 2024, two days prior to the exhibition.
- Artwork Pick-Up: Unsold artwork must be retrieved by the artist promptly after the exhibition’s conclusion of November 18, 2024.
Agreement Terms:
This is a formal agreement between Bushwick Gallery (WE), located at 22 Fayette Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206, and the undersigned Artist (YOU), whose details are indicated below, for the promotion and exhibition of your artwork.
A. PROMOTION & PUBLICITY
- Featured Artist Status: By signing this agreement, the artist agrees to be referred to as a “Featured Artist” at Bushwick Gallery and consents to the use of their social media photos for promotion.
- Headshot and Bio Submission: The artist must provide a professional headshot and a biography for promotional purposes.
- Social Media: Your artwork and headshot will be showcased across our social media channels, designed to engage collectors, art buyers, and professionals.
- Photography and Videography: The artist agrees to be photographed and may be videoed during the opening reception and other gallery events. These materials may be used for promotional purposes.
B. EXHIBITION
- Artwork Selection: The number of selected pieces will depend on the exhibition space and artwork dimensions. These works will be on display for the entire duration of the exhibition.
- Online Promotion: Your selected artwork will be featured on our gallery’s website for the exhibition duration.
- Targeted Public Relations: We will invite an exclusive list of collectors, consultants, corporations, and media representatives to the exhibition.
- Invitations: Personalized invitations will be sent to our curated mailing list.
- Listings: The exhibition will be promoted across various art platforms and websites, ensuring optimal exposure.
- Event Photography: Photos from the opening reception will be shared online for promotional purposes.
- Logistics: Artists are responsible for all shipping, framing, and customs costs to and from the exhibition.
- Installation: Our professional art handlers will manage the installation and de-installation of your artwork, ensuring it is displayed to perfection.
C. SALES
- Pricing: Artists will provide a written list of artwork prices. Bushwick Gallery reserves the right to establish the final sale price, ensuring fair market value.
- Sales Proceeds: For the exhibition, 80% of the sale proceeds will be paid to the artist within six (6) weeks after the sale and delivery of the artwork to the buyer.
D. ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Non-Exclusive Representation: Artists are welcome to exhibit with other galleries but cannot exhibit or sell the same artwork selected for this event elsewhere during the exhibition period.
- Limitation of Liability: The artist represents that their artwork is original and does not infringe on any intellectual property rights. Bushwick Gallery is not liable beyond the insurance coverage provided for artwork on the premises.
- Scheduling and Rescheduling: Bushwick Gallery reserves the right to reschedule or adjust exhibition dates in cases of unforeseen events, such as extreme weather or special circumstances. Artists will be notified of any such changes.
- Payment Confirmation: This agreement is only binding once the signed contract and the non-refundable $395 exhibition fee have been received by the date noted above.
- Art Representation Consent: By signing this agreement, the artist consents to Bushwick Gallery representing and promoting their work, with permission to use their name, image, headshot, and artwork for marketing purposes.
