Nass is drawn to processes that let the medium speak as much as the maker. Fire, charcoal, and pastel become tools of emphasis, creating intense focal points that act as emotional and sensory markers. Each piece captures something in flux, where sensation and representation collide.

Description
Migraine was created through an experimental process using fire as both image and emphasis. Nass began by striking a match to make delicate fire imprints on paper before evolving the method into more destructive, expressive marks. Each burn became a point of emotional intensity, a pulse in the composition that drawing alone could not achieve.

The surrounding lines were drawn with the burnt-out matches themselves, while vine charcoal and pastels built an atmospheric setting that anchors the fire marks. The resulting image mirrors an internal landscape where pain ignites, spreads, and lingers. It is both visceral and delicate, capturing the physicality of sensation through material.
